A beautiful, rare, sunny winter's day in the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales was all the excuse my wife Liz and I needed to take a tour through this wonderful landscape.
Driving down the Ogwen valley by the side of Llyn Ogwen was especially lovely, with a light dusting of the first snow of winter over the high peaks of the Carneddau range to the north of the lake.
Stopping at a convenient layby for a bite to eat, I took advantage of the view down the lake to shoot half an hour's worth of stills for this time lapse video.
With clouds streaming over the peaks of Y Garn and Pen-yr-Olwen there was plently of shadow-play over the sunlit slopes to enjoy watching while we sat and enjoyed our picnic.
