A lovely, gentle evening spent exploring the beauties of the Snowdonia National Park ended up with my wife Liz and I enjoying a coffee while watching and photographing as light evening clouds caught the light of the setting sun as they swirled over the peaks of the Snowdon Horseshoe.
I always think the best view of this magnificent scenery is obtained by a scramble down to the rocky shores of Llyn Mymbyr, which is where I shot this time lapse sequence from while Liz wisely watched from our parked car, safe from the swarmes of midges that found my exposed skin so irrestistable!
Still, a few itchy bites was a small price to pay to enjoy such a beautiful scene for an hour.

Lens (2nd sequence) - 100-400mm zoom @ 100mm
Exposure (start of sequence) - 1/2 sec @ f4, ISO400
Exposure (end of sequence) - 1/15 sec @ f4.5, ISO100
Filters (1st sequence) - 6 stop neutral density filter used to slow the exposure and blur the wavelets on the lake surface. 3 stop neutral density graduated filter used to darken the sky.
Filters (2nd sequence) - None.
Shooting interval - 3 seconds
