If you're looking for warm, sunny days with clear blue skies then the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales isn't for you.
That's not to say that you never get such weather, it's just that calm sunny days are few and far between.
Good job then that, as a creator of outdoor time lapse video, dramatic weather is what floats my boat.
And weather doesn't come much more dramatic than over the high peaks of Snowdon and its surrounding mountains, an area which has a microclimate all its own, usually wet!
Which is why when Liz and I are on one of our regular drives around the park, we always seem to stop on the A4086 by the side of Llyn Mymbyr to admire the views over the lake to Moel Siabod and the Snowdon Horseshoe.
However on this occasion there were no mountain peaks on view as dramatic storm clouds blanketed the slopes, casting patches on light and shadow on the waters below.
Not so good if you wanted to photograph mountains, but great for a time lapse shoot as light and dark played out overhead.
