Early February 2017 and a brief window in the otherwise gloomy weather pattern was all the incentive my wife Liz and I needed to get to our beloved North Wales coast.
We parked up at the West Shore at Llandudno and took a stroll along the Happy Valley footpath, stopping off at the Haulfre Tea Rooms for a welcome coffee and scone before returning back the way we came.
When we got back to the West Shore there was the beginings of a lovely sunset developing to the southwest out over Anglesey, so instead of moving on I moved down onto the beach and set up my trusty Canon 6D just on the high tide mark and started shooting the hundreds of stills required for this time lapse video, not knowing how the sunset would develop.
Well I wasn't disappointed and watched entranced from the water's edge as my camera clicked away at the lovely sweeping clouds and glowing colours that acommpanied the sunset and twilight.
i kept on filming until the last colours of dusk had bled from the sky, by which time it was pretty cold and I was glad to pack up and head back to the warmth of the car and the drive home.
Just one of many wonderful evenings enjoying one of the most beautiful stretches of coastal scenery I know.
