The last week of May 2021 provided us with some lovely weather after a very wet and cold month, so my wife Liz and I made the most of it with some evening trips to the North Wales coast, just a few minutes' drive along the A55 from our home near Mold.
Our second trip took us along the coast road from Colwyn Bay towards Llandudno, passing through Rhos-on-Sea before we stopped to catch this beautiful view of the sun setting over the Little Orme at the eastern end of Llandudno Bay.
There's a disued quarry on this side of the Little Orme, with a bite taken out of the limestone that made for a great silhouette against which to place the setting sun.
So I spent a happy forty five minutes or so watching and filming while the sun traversed downwards before finally sinking below the horizon over the Irish Sea to the northwest.
And then it was on to Llandudno for a lovely walk together along the promenade in the twilight before finally heading home for a cup of tea and bed.
