This beautiful overlook shows the north coast of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, as seen from high up in the volcanic uplands at a little village called Femes.
In the far distance is the seaside resort of Playa Blanca, with the usual white painted buildings glowing in the sun.
A nice enough picture in its own right, but with lovely fluffy cumulus clouds blowing over the landscape while cars whizz along the road down to the coast I just couldn't resist spending half an hour capturing the hundreds of stills required to make this time lapse video.
Mind you, I had to break out the shower cap to protect my camera while a passing shower from those clouds gave me a good soaking.
Not what I was expecting in Lanzaroate!
