The liitle town of Varenna is considered by many to be the jewel in the crown on the shores of Lake Como in the mountains of northern Italy.
And having stayed there with my wife Liz for a couple of weeks I can find no fault with that arguement.
We had a great view over the town from the balcony of our apartment, from where I was able to film this time lapse sequence of day turning to night as the lights of Varenna glowed ever brighter against the darkness and the ferries to Menaggio and Bellagio on the other side of the lake zoomed across like bright fireflies.
Just a wonderful experience!
