When my wife Liz and I spent a few days touring around the Lake District in the summer of 2020 there were a few places we decided to re-visit from previous trips in years gone by.
One such was Derwent Water, specifically the beautiful views around Ashness Bridge, overlooking the lake from this high vantage point called 'Suprise View'.
We'd been here before, and I'd even shot a similar time lapse from this very spot a couple of years ago.
But that was no reason not to repeat the exercise, especially with those dramatic clouds rolling across the sky, throwing patches of sunlight and shadow down onto the landscape below.
So we spent a happy half hour just watching the scenery while my camera clicked away taking the hundreds of still images needed for just a few seconds' worth of time lapse.
Time well spent I would say.
