Approaching midsummer, and at latitude 53°N where I live in North Wales the sunset has swung round to close to its most northerly position.
This gives me a great opportunity to watch and film the sun setting out over the Irish Sea from the promenade at Deganwy, just where the Conwy estuary empties out over miles of exposed sand at low tide.
However, on this particular evening the tide is in and the warm light of the setting sun is reflecting beautifully on the gently rippling waters.
A few layers of light cloud hover on the horizon, picking up the reds and oranges as the sun gives out its last light of the day before slipping into the sea.
This is a time just to sit and watch in wonder, but of course I can't just do that!
So while I sit drinking in the light (and a coffee) my camera is busy by my side, clicking away taking the stills for this timelapse, so I and others can enjoy the evening over and over again.
Mind you, nothing beats actually being there!
