It was an exciting drive in our little hire car up to the top of the small mountain overlooking Primosten on the Adriatic coast of Croatia, but well worth the effort once my wife Liz and I had made it, climbing the final stretch on foot up to the viewpoint.
The sun had just set as I set up my trusty camera and tripod to capture the stunning views back northwards along the coast, so I decided on shooting this time lapse sequence as the sky darkened and the lights of Primosten below us grew stronger and stronger as dusk gave way to night.
It's finding and filming views such as this that really makes these overseas trips come alive, and Liz enjoyed knitting on top of the mountain in the warmth of the evening as well - a far cry from shivering in a cold North Wales breeze!.
There was even a cafe and toilets right next to where this view was taken.
It's rare that you get to photograph in such comfort!
