Once or twice a year my wife Liz and I take the long drive south through the Snowdonia National Park to visit one of our favourite unspoilt walking spots, the beautiful Cregennan Lakes high in the mountains above the Mawddach estuary and the twin seaside towns of Barmouth and Fairbourne, nestled under the shapely peak of Cader Idris.
The day we chose for our excursion this time was absolutely lovely, with mixed sunshine and summer cumulus clouds casting ever changing shadows over the landscape.
Perfect conditions for hiking and shooting time lapse video sequences featuring the mesmerising play of light.
So at regular intervals during our circumnavigation of the lakes we stopped for fifteen minutes or so to allow me to shoot the hundreds of stills needed to create the videos.
No real hardship unde rthe cicrumstances!
