The North Wales coast is just an ever changing smorgasbord of sensory delights, with its active weather systems and extreme tidal range providing a new experience every day.
On this evening in late spring my wife Liz and I were driving back along the A55, having enjoyed a couple of walks around beauty spots on the Isle of Anglesey, when we decided to stop at Colwyn Bay just to watch the lights come on along the coast as darkness fell.
This turned into an hour and a half long photoshoot as I was mesmerised by the incoming tide covering over the vast sandy beach there.
You would have thought I'd seen it all before, but I never cease to be amazed at the clockwork precision with which the sun, moon and earth move around each other.
And, of course, the tide makes for a great time lapse.
