I do love a good cloud display, especially when the warm light of sunset causes the dramatic formations to glow with ever changing hues.
So when I spotted this magnificent cumulus cloud developing in the skies over where I live in northeast Wales, I spent a frantic couple of minutes setting up my camera and tripod on my front drive to catch the acion before the light faded away.
Now normally when I try this, the cloud tends to drift quickly out of frame but on this occasion, much to my satisfaction, the cloud behaved itself and stayed put until finally fading away as the sun set and the warm colours vanished from the heavens.
A very pleasant twenty minutes or so watching and shooting at the end of the day, and with no travelling involved!
