A beautiful summer's afternoon spent exploring the lovely Snowdonia National Park in North Wales ended with a trip to the coast to watch the tide coming in at Caernarfon.
I've been here many times in the past, so I knew exactly where to go to get the best view as the harbour, complete with flotilla of small boats, slowly filled with water.
Across the tidal mouth of the river Seiont stands the imposing bulk of Caernarfon castle, a world heritage site and tourist magnet, especially at this time of year.
And that's where a little local knowledge helps, as my view of the castle and harbour was unimpeded, as I spent a couple of hours on my own, filming away happily as the waters rose, the boats started to float, and the reflection of the castle grew ever more complete.
What a great way to draw the day to a close!
