I was sitting at my computer editing a video when my wife Liz pointed out of the window and said 'There's an impressive cloud'.
I looked up and had to agree, as the cauliflower shape of a forming cumulo-nimbus cloud, catching the light of the sun, hung in the sky over our garden fence.
So I quickly assembled my camera and tripod, and headed out to find a spot with a clear view of the cloud, which fortunately I found just outside my front door.
Given the rapidly changing nature and position of clouds I just managed a quarter of an hour of shooting a frame every two seconds before the cloud moved out of frame.
But even so, I was really pleased with the final result after I had processed the time lapse.
I'll have to keep a better eye on the sky from now on, ready to catch the next impressive cloud formation.
