Sometimes you have to travel miles and wait hours for the right conditions to shoot a time lapse video.
And sometimes (rarely!) you can step out of your front door and be confronted with a beautiful scene just begging to be captured.
Such was the case this lovely day in spring 2021, with white cumulus clouds moving sedately over our local bit of woodland.
So it was the matter of a few moments to set up my camera to record the hundreds of still images needed to create this time lapse video, speeding up the movement of the clouds by a factor of 60 to show the balletic weather dance in the skies above our estate.
So I spent a happy half hour sitting watching the clouds roll by while sipping on a cup of coffee.
Sometimes, just sometimes, this outdoor photography game can be quite relaxing!
