A cold front had just passed by over North Wales, leaving a patchwork of clouds in its wake just in time to catch the light of the setting sun.
So I needed no further encouragement to unpack my camera and tripod and walk the few paces from my front door to our local nature reserve in order to capture the hundreds of still images needed to create this time lapse video.
And although the sunset wasn't as spectacular as some, the delicate lighting of the high altitude clouds proved to be particularly attractive when viewed at sixty times actual speed.
