Never a dull moment weatherwise in the mountains of the Snowdonia (now called Eryri) National Park in north Wales.
With sunlight and rainstorms racing across the landscape of the Gwydyr Forest near Betws-y-Coed, and with Moel Siabod in the background, I certainly wasn't going to pass up this opportunity to photograph the action.
So my wife Liz and I parked up in the layby with the best view up the densely wooded valley and took advantage of the pause to enjoy a sandwich while my camera clicked away every two seconds, recording the hundreds of still images needed to make just these few seconds of time lapse video.
And then, after twenty minutes or so, a very large and threatening cloud started heading our way and discretion took the better part of valour, with me and the camera gear just making back to the car before the downpour hit us.
