A check on the weather forecast showed typical North Wales weather - a front sweeping across the country triggering clouds, strong winds and possible rain.
Not ideal weather to be out you might think, but perfect for making a dramatic timelapse video.
After a little thought, Liz and I headed to Llyn Tegid at Bala, the largest natural lake in Wales and a blustery 30 minutes of shooting stills every two seconds as dusk fell resulted in this video showing some beautiful cloud movement over the lake and moored boats swinging wildly in the stiffening breeze.
