Strolling along the beach at Conwy Morfa by the side of the Conwy estuary is a favourite pastime for my wife Liz and myself.
The views in any direction are well worth seeing, and there's always something interesting happening on the river.
On this occasion I was entranced by these three yachts, making their way under sail in from the Irish Sea and up the river Conwy to the Conwy marina.
I'm glad I was carrying my camera with me, ready to go, as this particular placement and spacing of the yachts, together with the breaking wave in the foreground, only lased for a brief second before the dynamics of the scene changed and the composition had gone.
One of those 'decisive moments' that we all enjoy seeing and photographing from time to time.
