It's not often you arrive at one of your favourite beaches and find a yacht washed up on it!
This is the beach at Penmon Point on the isle of Anglesey, just off the North Wales coast. The weather had been particularly stormy over the past couple of weeks which had thrown up a fresh ridge of shingle, crowned with this unfortunate vessel. I just hope there was no-one on board at the time!
When my wife Liz and I arrived on this occasion the weather was still very active, with sunshine and storm clouds beating fast across the sky.
I took this photo when the sky was at its most menacing, and some post processing work in Photoshop, including conversion to monochrome with a sepia tint, helped to bring out the drama of the day.
