A lonely spot on the north coast of Anglesey is home to the Wylfa nuclear power station.
Placed in a location of great natural beauty, next to the Cemlyn RSPB nature reserve, this somewhat industrial structure seems out of place, surrounded as it is by such peace and tranquility.
But although I rarely take photos of factories I felt compelled to take this photo, showing the power station, not as the huge monolith that it appears close up, but rather as a somewhat fragile, small and temporary effort of man when compared to the vast expanse of sea and sky surrounding it.
Wylfa has now been shut down, and no doubt a photographer a hundred years hence will take a photo of this place and there'll be no trace of what was once there.
Only the sea, sky and rock will remain.
