It's not often that I'll make something as industrial as a nuclear power station the subject of a landscape photo, but the Wylfa reactor on Anglesey is in such a unique location that I couldn't resist making it the focal point of this image.
Situated on the north coast of the Isle of Anglesey, the reactor is sited just across the bay from the Cemlyn RSPB bird sanctuary and nature reserve, a haven of peace and tranquility and a place Liz and I visit often on our travels around the area.
I find it such a curious juxtaposition of nature and industry, and I've aimed to convey that tension in this composition, focusing on the beautiful natural shoreline and bay in the near and middle ground, with the power station a somewhat unusual presence on the horizon.
There's a kind of loveliness in this unresolved conflict that I find strangely compelling.
