Love them or hate them, wind turbines are now an undeniable presence in the UK landscape.
As an amateur landscape photographer, I love them (shock horror!). Anywhere there's a wind turbine you've got a ready made focal point that can enhace an otherwise bland composition. A bit like a tree really but less organic.
Anyhow, this image just wouldn't have worked without the turbines, as there's nothing else there!
These particular turbines are just on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park (one of my favourite places in the world), and I took this photo from the slopes of my local hill, Moel Famau, looking down the long end of my 100-400mm zoom on a beautifully clear (and thus very rare) evening about 30 minutes after sunset.
