The windfarm in Colwyn Bay on the North Wales coast has radically altered the view out to sea along the whole stretch of this seaside and made things much more interesting for me as a photographer.
Others may disagree, but I find the turbines make for great focal points in a composition and I'll use them whenever I can.
Of course, their effeciveness as power generators is another question altogether, and they certainly weren't contributing much to the national grid on the day I took this photo.
The weather was so calm that there was even a reflection of the turbines available on the sea, a very rare occurence!
Anyhow, even though they were not working as intended as electricity providers, they stilkl worked just fine for me in a photographic sense, and I added a tongue in cheek olde worlde effect in post processing to provide a bit of visual tension and contradiction.
