Driving east along the A684 from Sedbergh to Leyburn takes you through the stunning scenery of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
My wife Liz and I took this trip one overcast day in late autumn, stopping at various beauty spots and cheese factories along the way.
One of the loveliest places we visited were the Aysgarth Falls, pictured here and made famous as the location for the quaterstaff fight between Robin Hood and Little John in the film 'Robin Hood Prince of Thieves'.
There was a lot more water coming down the falls when we visited, and you certainly wouldn't have been able to stand up in the river and fight - not that we tried!.
The overcast day was perfect for photographing the moving water and autumn colours, and I used a polariser to kill any glare from the water and foliage, thus enhancing the peaty chocolate brown colour of the water and the vivid reds and golds of the leaves on the far bank.
