This shot was taken looking down the Pass of Llanberis, North Wales, while climbing up Snowdon on the Pyg track.
Snowdonia can produce some truly grim days weatherwise, but the upside of unsettled weather is dramatic lighting - well, sometimes anyway!
Such was the case on this day, with broken sunlight dappling the sides of the pass and giving a much more interesting view than would have been seen under a clear blue sky.
I used HDR processing to bring out the cloud detail and increase the drama.
