A four hour hike on a lovely sunny afternoon for my wife Liz and I in the autumn of 2020 took us through some stunning countryside as we headed south along the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
Our adventure started at Moel-y-Parc and took us along a bridleway which followed the contours of the Pen-y-Cloddiau iron age hill fort towards the imposing bulk of Moel Arthur.
As we went along, views to the west out over the fertile fields of the Vale of Clywd opened up to us, with the high peaks of Snowdonia on the far horizon.
Bathed in golden autumnal sunlight, our hike took quite a bit longer than anticipated as I was constantly stopping to photograph the landscape.
This sweeping panoramic collage, comprised of multiple overlapping frames, stitched together in Adobe Lightroom, gives a reasonable impression of the gorgeous views we were treated to that day.
