There are several paths you can use to climb Snowdon, and one of my favourites is the Watkin Path.
The Watkin Path goes through some very pretty scenery in its lower reaches, and the gradient isn't too punishing lower down, although you pay for that later on!
This view was taken one 'active weather' day, on the way back down the path, and shows a group of trees spotlit by a passing sunbeam against a dark and forbidding background.
This chiaroscuro lighting effect is just stunning, and I'll always make an effort to get out and photograph in conditions such as these.
