What could be nicer than strolling around a Scottish reservoir on a rare sunny day?
Although you can hardly see any water in this photo, my wife Liz and I are actually by the side of the Megget reservoir in the border county of Dumfries and Galloway, and enjoying every minute in these beautiful surroundings.
This particular composition caught my eye due to the juxtapostion of the old stone wall and the equally venerable tree, both of which compliment each other very well, and lead the viewers' eye nicely on a zigzag path through the frame.
But primarily I took this photo just to remind myself of a lovely day in a lovely part of the world.
