The ancient woodlands of North Wales are magical places, where the rush and bustle of modern life fades from one's conciousness, to be replaced by an encompassing peace knowing that in the overall scheme of things your life is just a temporary blip when set against the enduring majesty of God's creation.
Such was my experience while walking along the forested shoreline of Llyn Trawsfynydd, with the lake to my left and carpeted forest to my right, with only the odd cry of a passing crow to break the silence.
A balm to the soul.
