The story behind this image

A delightful hike around the heavily wooded foreshore of Llyn Trawsfynydd in North Wales brought my wife Liz and I to the spectacular Maentwrog Dam.

I'd never seen this dam before, so I took full advantage of the opportunity to photograph this amazing structure from as many different angles as possible, including some of the lovely surrounding countryside as well.

Filters - 2 stop neutral density graduated filter used to reduce the brightness of the sky relative to the landscape.

Location - Llyn Trawsfynydd, Wales

Image enhancements - Adobe Lightroom

Comments - Tripod, remote release and mirror lockup used to prevent camera movement.
