This is the town of Schladming in central Austria, when Liz and I spent a very activity filled ten days last summer.
The weather wasn't great, and most evenings were cloudy and dull. However, on this evening the skies were clear and glowing with the last vestiges of twilight as I walked just a few paces from our hotel to get these images overlooking the town.
The Dachstein Massiv provided an epic backdrop for the photos, but it's only clearly visible when there's no cloud cover.
I'm glad I took the opportunity, as there wasn't another clear night for the duration of our stay.
