This is the town of Mijas, just inland from Torremolinos on the Costa del Sol, Spain.
During the day this is a bustling tourist trap, complete with bullring, donkey carts, quaint souvenir shops and the like.
My wife Liz and I, together with our daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren, spent quite some time here as it was the nicest place to visit that was close by to where we were staying on holiday.
One evening us oldies slipped away for an late visit, as I reckoned the place would look (and photograph of course!) much better at dusk.
We weren't disappointed, as the town took on a much less hurried and more relaxed atmosphere at night.
This shot was taken from near the bullring, looking out over the lit buildings to the hill beyond, sillhouetted in the last of the twilight.
