Along with my love for beautiful natural scenery I also take delight in unusual and dramatic architecture.
Which is why my wife Liz and I took a trip to the capital city of Tenerife, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, during our week long winter sun break to the Canary Islands.
We'd come to see the famous and visually stunning seafront auditorium, designed by architect Santiago Calatrava.
And we weren't disappointed, as the scale and design of this monumental building took our breath away.
After I'd finished photographing the whole structure, and while Liz headed off to the auditorium's café (rather posh!) for a coffee I headed around the building to look for interesting and quirky angles to capture on silicon.
Well I was certainly spoilt for choice, with tastefully arranged angles and curves seemingly everywhere I looked, the cream coloured walls glowing in the warm light of the setting sun.
I have to admit I was gone a while, but Liz was very patient!
