Los Gigantes on the west coast of Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands, is famous for one thing only - the huge and dramatic sea cliffs that stretch northwards from the seaside town all the way to the northwestern tip of the island at Punto De Teno.
So of course, a visit to Los Gigantes was high on my photographic list of 'go to' places for the week that Liz and I spent on Tenerife in early 2017.
After finding a back street to park in, we made our way down to the shoreline and, to our suprise, we found a beach of actual sand (black volcanic), strewn with rocks fallen from the cliffs above.
Walking along the beach close to sunset, I came across this couple taking in the last of the sun's warmth and enjoying the view, so I included them in this composition, transforming a lovely scene into a lovely scene that tells a story.
