Towards the end of our week long winter sun break on Tenerife in the Canary Islands my wife Liz and I re-visited some of the notable places we'd stopped at briefly earlier in the holiday, in order to spend some more time in these visually stunning locations.
One such area on our 'must see again' list were the Los Gigantos volcanic cliffs on the west coast of the island, with views out over the Atlantic Ocean to the neighbouring island of La Gomera.
Stopping for any length of time on the narrow, twisting mountain road was a problem, but eventually we found a convenient pull-in that gave us this view of La Gomera through a cleft in the rocks.
With the sun close to setting over La Gomera, it was time to assemble the time lapse gear and set my camera off shooting the hundreds of frames needed to create my Tenerife Sunset Timelapse #2 video.
This is one of those time lapse exposures, captured near the start of the shoot and showing La Gomera framed between the cliffs of Los Gigantos with a bright afternoon sun heading downwards towards the western horizon.
