The Point of Ayr lighthouse, in its improbable location on the beach at Talacre on the North Wales coast, is a magnet for outdoor photographers from far and wide.
I'm blessed by living only a half hour's drive from this amazing location, so I can pick and choose when I visit.
The promise of a clear sky on the night of a full moon was all the encouragement I needed to make this trip, catching the moon rising just half an hour after sunset.
A bit of careful positioning and the use of a long lens allowed me to make the most of the event.
