During the long weekend my wife Liz and I spent exploring the beauties of southern Snowdonia around Barmouth on the welsh coast, we took a drive inland through the mountains, heading for Aberydyfi.
On the way we were driving along the A487 when, rounding a bend, we came across this stunning view overlooking Tal-y-Llyn lake (or Llyn Mwyngil).
A convenient layby enabled me to park up and grab my camera (always kept in a 'ready to shoot' state for situations such as this), being very careful to choose my moment to dash into the middle of the road to achieve a composition using the white road markings as a leading line into the scene.
And then it was back into the car and onwards into yet more beautiful scenery.
What a country!
