Porth Trwyn is a hidden gem of a beach on the west coast of Anglesey, just of the North Wales coast, and has been a favourite spot for my wife Liz and I from since before we were married. (A long time ago now!)
Just down the road aways from the very popular Church Bay, this secluded cove never sees many visitors and is a fantastic place to walk, paddle, swim and explore rock pools at low tide with camera in hand.
On this particular occasion, in summer, we stayed late to watch the sun set out to sea and we were blessed with a beautiful calm evening with gorgeous light.
The tide had just gone out, leaving large pools behind which were draining into the sea so I took the opportunity to use one of these drainage channels as a leading line through this image to the small island just becoming visible in the falling tide and to the sun, just sinking into a bank of cloud on the horizon.
A perfect end to a wonderful day, full of happy memories.
