Sitting on the promenade deck of the P&O liner Arcadia, coffee in hand, watching as the suns sinks into the sea on a smoky Mediterranean horizon.
We've just left the coast of Montenegro behind and we're heading west to our next stop at Malaga, but the photo opportunities just don't stop as this is one of the nicest sunsets I've seen in a while.
What I like about this sunset in particular is the line of cloud bisecting the sun, and the highlighted wisp of mist just towards the top of the frame.
It's little touches like this that turn an ordinary sunset (if there could ever be such a thing) into something special.
It made quite a funny sight on the promenade deck, as there were a lot of folk out taking photos using point and shoot cameras that evening, but there was only me resting a huge 100-400mm zoom on the deck rail.
Somehow I think I might have made the best of that opportunity.
