Everyone loves a dramatic sunset, but I also love sunsets that are more subtle, such as this one.
This was taken at sea during a cruise around the Canary Islands. It was great just sitting on deck on a recliner, gin and tonic in one hand and my Canon 5D with 100-400mm zoom resting on my knees - I got some funny looks!
Obviously a ship is constantly moving so one can't use a tripod. Instead I upped the ISO to 200, opened the aperture right up, engaged the image stabilisation and shot at 1/200 sec which gave an acceptable level of sharpness for this scene.
