The views from the summit of the Great Orme on the North Wales coast can be truly spectacular.
Looking west into the setting sun on a winter's afternoon you can see the whole sweep of the coastline, taking in Penmaenmawr, Llanfairfechan and beyond to Anglesey.
On this particular afternoon, breaks in the heavy clouds were letting the sun's rays stream through in dramatic fashion, lighting up the sea in spotlit patches as the 'God rays' fanned out across the heavens.
Needless to say, the light show only lasted a couple of minutes before the gaps in the clouds closed up and the sun disappeared for another day.
Time to drive back down to sea level for a hot coffee before the journey home, still marvelling at the beauty and majesty on display at this fantastic part of the world.
