Still on the Ille de Pinel, but this time a little inland.
We've gone for a walk over to the far side of the Ille, which takes us through the somewhat parched interior.
At first glance there's nothing to see or photograph as we walk along, but my eye is definately 'in' at the moment and I'm looking for interesting details and compositions along the path as we walk.
This pair of stones and grasses caught my eye, and isolating them from the rest of the landscape gave me a pleasing image both in terms of composition and colour palette.
Unusually for me, I desaturated the image somewhat in post processing. I can't give a technical reason why, I just thought less colour emphasised the dry, barren nature of the intimate landscape at my feet.
