For those interested in geology, the beaches of the North Wales coast provide a smorgasbord of different rock types, found as pebbles and small stones on the shoreline.
For photography purposes, these different types of rock, worn smooth by the action of sand and waves, provide a kaleidoscope of colour and composition that can be accessed just by looking downwards.
That's what my wife Liz and I were doing one dull, windy afternoon on the beach at Conwy Morfa, finding naturally occuring arrangements of pebbles to enjoy.
However, not all the items on this beach are naturally occuring, and we came across several of these weathered and worn house bricks.
There was just enough writing left on them to identify them as having been made in Buckley, which was a coincidence worth a photograph, as that's where Liz and I live.
