On holiday in the Vendée region of France, we spent some time in the charming Atlantic seaside towns of St Jean de Monts and Saint Gilles Croix de Vie.
I'm reasonably sure that this impressionist sculpture of three birds is to be found in one of these towns, but if you know where they actually live then please let me know!
Anyhow, with soft, warm evening light and muted colours this sculpture was an ideal subject for photographing on the high contrast high saturation Fuji Velvia 50 transparency film I was using at the time, bringing out some lovely tones and details.
