This photo was taken in the very photogenic Millenium Park, which runs along the shore of Lake Michigan and is a real treat just to walk around and explore.
The image shows just a brief glimpse of the diverse environment and architecture in this part of the town.
One thing I would have loved to have while photographing in Chicago was a perspective control (PC) lens to straighten bending verticals, as I was always pointing my wide angled lens up to fit the skyscapers into the frame and thus causing serious alignment and barreling issues.
I was able to straighten things up with Photoshop's lens correction filter, but I lost about half of my available pixels in the process!
Oh well - when I win some serious photo competition prizes I'll be able to go shopping for a PC lens, until then I'll have to leave a lot of space for Photoshop distortion correction!
