What better place to be for a sunset than stood on the cliffs at South Stack on the Isle of Anglesey, looking out over the Irish Sea to the far horizon and with the stunningly located South Stack lighthouse blinking out its signal below.
I've stood and photographed on this spot on countless occasions, as a scan through the Anglesey Photo Gallery will testify, but each time I'm here I witness something fresh.
For instance, this was the first time I'd seen something that I'd always wanted to experience, with clouds stretching to the horizon except for a small gap through which the setting sun could briefly shine.
This was a lovely juxtaposition of the sun and lighthouse beacon which only lasted for a couple of minutes, and it was a real privilege to be able to see it happen.
