Like a chilli pepper sitting on a bed of rice, the small amount of red in this image of a snow bound Clocaenog Forest serves to spice up the whole feel of the picture.
Like its culinary counterpart, red is a powerful colour and just a hint is needed to change the feel of an image.
Without the hint of red on the roadsign, this picture becomes very bleak and uninteresting, just cover it up and see what happens.
Needless to say Liz and I didn't spend long yomping about in the snow, lovely though it was, and I didn't come across any children playing either!
