Sailing through the Mediterranean on the P&O liner Arcadia was very nice, just one hot sunny day after another, but after ten days of this I was starting to get a bit bored with it.
Coming from North Wales, I'm used to more, shall we say, 'active' weather, and seeing as my hobby is photography, with an emphasis on the outdoors, I'm quite at home with wind, rain, storms and so on. In fact I prefer this type of weather so long as I'm not planning a barbeque. much more interesting than plain sunny days.
So I was really pleased when we finally encountered some heavy weather in the Med, and I was quick to get this photo showing our ship's wake disappearing off into the distance under lowering skies.
Needless to say the change in the weather didn't last long, and after a couple of hours it was back to business as usual under a cloudless sky.
